LEGAL TERMS OF PARTICIPATION
7. Assumption of Risk
I, the undersigned parent/guardian, understand that participation in soccer activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to serious bodily injury, permanent disability, paralysis, or death.
I knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of LIV Soccer / Velocity FC or others.
8. Waiver & Release of Liability
IMPORTANT: THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY — READ CAREFULLY
To the fullest extent permitted under the laws of the State of Texas, I, on behalf of myself and my minor child:
Release, waive, and discharge LIV Soccer / Velocity FC, its owners, officers, directors, coaches, employees, contractors, affiliates, sponsors, and volunteers from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action
INCLUDING claims arising from the NEGLIGENCE of LIV Soccer / Velocity FC
For any injury, disability, death, or property damage resulting from participation
I understand that this release applies to ordinary negligence under Texas law.
9. Indemnification
I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless LIV Soccer / Velocity FC from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising out of:
My child’s participation
Any breach of this agreement
Any claims brought by or on behalf of my child
10. Medical Authorization
I authorize LIV Soccer / Velocity FC to obtain emergency medical care for my child if I cannot be reached.
I accept full financial responsibility for any medical treatment provided.
11. Parental Consent & Minor Waiver
As the parent/legal guardian of a minor participant, I:
Consent to my child’s participation
Agree to all terms stated in this agreement on their behalf
Understand that under Texas law, parental waivers are generally enforceable for recreational activities, but I acknowledge this agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted
12. Venue, Jurisdiction & Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
Any legal action shall be brought exclusively in Hidalgo County, Texas.
13. Severability Clause
If any portion of this agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable under Texas law, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
14. Code of Conduct
Participants and families agree to demonstrate:
Respect
Accountability
Sportsmanship
Failure to comply may result in removal without refund.
15. Data Security
We implement reasonable safeguards to protect your information, though no system is completely secure.
16. Your Rights
You may request access, updates, or deletion of your data by contacting us at [Insert Email].
